A different use for iPod readers

So you went through all that trouble to become an ereader, and you still own a truckload of books? No sweat. A two dollar application from Apple’s App Store gets your booklist sorted. And that’s about it.

A, uhm, nifty little program called simply Book Library lets you gather information about your treebooks. You can categorize them – either through sixty default genres, or define your own. You can sort your books by author, title or genre (or rather, you can sort your list of books. If it sorted my real treebooks I’d be sold instantly).

In fact, reading the list of features is a good reminder for why I started ereading in the first place. I don’t want to sort my books anymore. I just want to carry them all in my pocket and let the gadget do the sorting on the fly.

The only interesting feature is the “Internet Book” list lookup (one-click, of course) which gives you more details about any book as long as it is listed there.

Nah. Not impressed. For two bucks I’d rather get a cup of coffee and do some ereading.
